k log lafzon ke aaeene mein
apne apne udaas paikar talaash kar lein.
aur Roshni ke saare hi band Shamim ke is misre se ibarat hain jo khud use bhi shayed yaad nahin ho ga, Farmate hain,
“Chiraagh saare bujhaao, bahot andhera hai”.

In this post no. 23, Salim Khan Sahab has offered two wonderful nazms of Shamim Shahjahan puri. The one named “Roshni” is my favourite as it is one of many ghazals and poems in the hand written diary he gave me in 1981. He seems to be puzzled by the fact that in the presence of so many commandments and regulations the world has been and remains in the grip of cruelty and suffering. He offers no solution.
